Disabilities and Employment: 8 months, 1 week ago · updated 8 months, 1 week ago · ViewI am very frustrated that everytime I answer an ad for a job that I am very qualifed for the phone discussion goes well but as soon as I go for the face to face interview they take one look at the crutches and decide that because my legs don’t work well the brain doesn’t either. I really want to start my own business but I can’t find any funding and of course no seems to have any suggestions. So I am hoping maybe someone here may know of a place that offers grants to disabled persons seeking to start a business. HELP please
I’m not sure where exactly you would go but I’m sure you could find it online somewhere. But I know that the goverment was offering grants to disabled women. I have 2 friends that have both been able to get these grants. Lucky for them it has blessed them in being able to work from home. Maybe go to the federal site under grants and disability.
