Digital hearing aids are bringing a lot of new features to the disabled hearing community – but they are also fraught with complications, as well.
Analog hearing aids allow for a person to turn up the volume to whatever level desired – whereas a digital hearing aid is preprogrammed by an audiologist to only go to a maximum level of strength – oftentimes to the detriment of the user when used in public scenarios.
