Disability News Journalists:

Disability News Journalists are to have a holistic understanding of current disability news, events, and culture – regionally and around the world and to maintain the viability of the ILWAD News Organization. Contributors work closely with our founders, the ILWAD Executive Editor, other contributors and Assistant Editors for daily publishing. If you are interested in becoming a ILWAD Journalist, please Contact our Editor.

Responsibilities:
Journalists are asked to make a 6 month commitment and write a minimum
of (1) 250-500 word editorial each month.

Qualifications
1. Strong writing skills
2. Strong work ethic to have a significant presence on ILWAD
3. Ability and drive to make a difference in the world

Disability News Contributions:

All members are encouraged to share their stories, resources, personal experiences with disability, website reviews, and special events. If you are interested in contributing to our daily publishing, please Contact our Editor.

ILWAD Buddy Program:

This program is designed to develop relationships that benefit both you and the person that you are paired with to contribute different experiences and skills in coping with a disability along with building a lasting friendship. Support, empowerment, positive values and positive identities are the hallmarks of the ILWAD Buddy Program. Software Engineer:

The main responsibility for the ILWAD Software Engineer is to provide for general support and working expertise of our WordPress backbone and BuddyPress layer of community and social media technologies. Contact us for more information, click here.

Responsibilities:
1. Maintain WordPress, WPMU and BuddyPress software including version updates
2. Deploy plugin and custom coded feature sets for our community
3. Maintain the viability and integrity of the ILWAD website and it’s functional software

Qualifications:
1. PHP, MYSQL, HTML and CSS
2. Extensive rockstar working knowledge of WordPress, WPMU and BuddyPress
